Netflix party is a new way through which you can watch TV shows and movies with your friends and loved ones.  Netflix Party is only available on Chrome browsers on desktop or laptop computers. This means that if you want to use it on another browser such as Safari, then it is not available for it yet. It is beyond my understanding why extensions are not available for safari. Safari is the most used browser in the USA. But still they did not make an extension for this. There is no big deal in this. You can also download the Chrome browser and install the Netflix Party Extension on it.

So let’s talk about which are the alternative of Netflix party.

Another great extension is Syncplay. Like Metastream, a lot of people use it. It is very easy to use, you will get this extension easily. And this is absolutely legal software. Pausing, unpleasing and seeking are synchronized over the Internet, giving everyone playing the same file in the same virtual room a shared viewing experience. Use alongside VoIP software, e.g. Mumble or Skype.

Syncplay extension allows people to enjoy a shared viewing experience even if they are thousands of miles apart, so friends can watch anime, movies, TV shows and other media together.

The Syncplay Client launches a media player on your computer, connects to a Syncplay server and joins a virtual room on that server. Pauses, unpauses and seeks made within that media player instance are relayed to fellow viewers via the server to allow for these actions to be replicated by the media players of everyone elsein the same virtual room. The server keeps track of where everyone is in the video so if someone joins they can be brought to the right place, and so if someone is too far ahead they can be brought back in sync.

Watch Party is also a great software, you can also use it as an alternative to Netflix party. You can watch both Watch Party and Netflix Party using them but both work almost the same.

StreamParty is a great extension I have been using it for the last 1 month. And so far I have not faced any problem in it.

StreamParty is a browser extension that allows you to watch video streams in sync with your significant other all across the world, on multiple platforms.

Currently supported only services: 

– Netflix
– Youtube

It does not support other apps, so if you are looking for an extension for someone else, then it is not useful for you.

4. TwoSeven

Missing your loved ones on movie night? Make this your meeting spot! Gather as many people as you like! TwoSeven is a very good extension and I think it is the best of all. Website that enables users to watch videos together without worrying about synchronization. Has inbuilt video-chat and text-chat support thereby eliminating the need for other applications like Skype.
Currently supports , Amazon, YouTube, Netflix Crunchyroll, Vimeo, etc.
