Depository participant are intermediaries between depository & investors. Depositories may be an organization, bank, or institution that holds securities & assists in trading of securities. Depositories provide liquidity & security, use the money to lend to others, invest in securities & other a fund transfer system. The objective of a depository is to provide for maintenance/transfer of ownership records of securities is an electronic form in a stock exchange.
