Does all holy books have recitation like Quran?
There is nothing quite like the sound of the Qur’an being recited, and I am not a Muslim.
It is a hybrid of music, poetry, and song along with theology. I honestly do not believe the text itself can be truly understood if it is not read aloud by someone who knows what they are doing and is actually feeling the words in the original Arabic. Translations to English, or any other language, do not do it justice.
The Qur’an is unlike any other holy book. It must be “felt” and experienced in order to be truly understood.
I only wish more Muslims would experience the Qur’an as it was meant to be experienced and felt like a universal song of peace, love and kindness to one another and not a rationale for violence.
